Trimania App

An indoor wayfinding and agenda app for arts and culture event

The Problem

The Trimania arts and culture event is held in a very large, very hard to navigate former-factory building. There is very little consistency across floors, the suite numbers jump around, and bathrooms are in a different place on every floor. The exhibits and shows are spread throughout the building, and people need a way to find them.

Using the Trimania app, visitors can navigate the event in multiple ways. Printed signs featuring QR codes can be scanned through the app, which leads to a map with a "you are here" indicator. From there, visitors can choose their desired destination (using the built-in agenda) and the map will display the quickest paths to get there. If visitors know where they are and where they want to go, they can still use the wayfinding feature which leads to a map to their destination.
